Katie Bing has served as the Clerk of the Supreme Court of Kentucky since November 9, 2023.
Originally from Eastern Kentucky and a two‑time University of Kentucky graduate, Katie began her legal career within the very institution she now helps lead, serving as a law clerk for Deputy Chief Justice Mary C. Noble (ret.) After her clerkship, Katie ventured into six years of private practice—working in personal injury, insurance defense, family law, and general litigation in both Eastern and Central Kentucky. Katie came home to the Kentucky judiciary in 2020 to serve as deputy court administrator for the Supreme Court. Her leadership helped guide the Court through major operational transitions, culminating in her appointment as Clerk in 2023.
