I have been Clerk since June 2025.  I have a B.S. from Grand Valley State University and a J.D. from Michigan State University.  I have been with the Michigan courts for most of my post-law school career, including as a research attorney with our intermediate appellate court and as career law clerk to our former Chief Justice Beth Clement.  I also am an adjunct law instructor at my alma mater, and the undergraduates there definitely keep me on my toes.  Outside of work, most of my time is spent hiking with husband and our dog, reading, renovating our 1920s home, or watching the weekend’s F1 race.
I joined and attended my first NCACC conference within weeks of stepping into this position.  At the time, I was nervous about the new role and a bit overwhelmed by the learning curve ahead.

But then, everyone I met at the conference was supportive and eager to share their experiences and wisdom and was so welcoming.  It was a genuinely warm and reassuring experience when it mattered most.
