By Jenny Kitchings, NCACC President
Dear Friends,
It is almost time for us to have our annual meeting in Burlington, Vermont. Please make your plans to come join us. We have a fantastic lineup of speakers and topics, including justices, judges, and court personnel from international, federal, supreme, and intermediate appellate courts. We will also have discussions on AI, human resource management, and a return of the popular plain language discussion. We are looking forward to spending time together to share experiences, finding solutions to common issues, and planning for the future.
It has been my honor to serve as your President this year. The Executive Committee is pleased to welcome Elizabeth Garcia, Clerk of the Supreme Court of New Mexico, to replace a departing member. We met in April in Greenville, South Carolina, for our Executive Committee meeting. At our meeting, we talked about the great work of our committees, and took a break to watch the solar eclipse.
We have some exciting updates, including a solution for our aging listserv, which we will talk more about in Burlington. We are also working on enabling members to pay dues utilizing a credit card, which is something folks have been asking for, and we hope to be able to announce more details soon.
In summary, it’s been an exciting year for the NCACC, and I can’t wait to see you all soon in Burlington.
