Jasmine Smith has served as Deputy Clerk of Court for the South Carolina Court of Appeals since November 2025. She graduated cum laude from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Psychology and later earned an Ed.S. in Counselor Education, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy, before attending law school. Jasmine earned her law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law and began her legal career as a Staff Attorney at the Court of Appeals. She later clerked for two Court of Appeals judges and went on to private practice, where she became a partner at a South Carolina civil defense firm focusing on business litigation and appellate work.
Before returning to the Court in 2025, she also served as Co-Director of the Moot Court Program at USC School of Law and has held numerous leadership roles within the legal community. Jasmine is excited about building connections and getting actively involved in the NCACC.
