Greetings from Austin
NCACC’s 53rd Annual Conference
Austin, TX – August 2 – 6, 2026

August may feel far away, but momentum is already building for the 53rd Annual Meeting of the National Conference of Appellate Court Clerks, taking place August 2–6, 2026, in Austin, Texas. This year’s conference is shaping up to be a can’t-miss opportunity for appellate court clerks who want to sharpen their skills, expand their professional network, and recharge among colleagues who truly understand the demands of our work.

NCACC’s annual meeting has always been about more than gathering in one place — it’s about learning from one another and preparing for what lies ahead. The 2026 program will focus on timely issues facing appellate courts, with sessions designed to be practical, relevant, and immediately applicable to your work.

This year’s conference will feature a dynamic lineup of educational sessions addressing some of the most relevant and timely issues facing appellate courts today, including:

  • Leadership & Ethics
  • Serving Self-Represented Litigants
  • Crisis Management
  • Artificial Intelligence in the Courts

Whether you’re navigating change in your office or looking for fresh ideas to bring back to your court, NCACC 53 will offer perspectives you can’t get anywhere else.

Here’s a preview of what’s planned for the week:

Sunday, August 2

The evening begins with a fascinating look at the area’s history, followed by a reception and the Education Fund Auction. The night concludes with dessert under the stars while watching Austin’s famous bats take flight.

Monday

Enjoy a full day of educational sessions, followed by an evening of networking and camaraderie with colleagues.

Tuesday – Vendor Day

Vendor Day, organized by Tracie Lindeman (AZ, Retired), offers the opportunity to explore the latest technology, tools, and products supporting today’s courts. It’s the perfect chance to see what’s new and innovative in our field.

Wednesday

After a morning of learning, join us for the Awards Luncheon, where we’ll recognize excellence within our profession. The afternoon is free—ideal for exploring Austin’s music, food, and culture.

Thursday – Closing Day

The conference concludes with final educational sessions and the business meeting before we say farewell to an incredible week together.

The NCACC Annual Conference is more than a professional gathering—it’s an opportunity to reconnect with colleagues who understand the unique responsibilities of appellate court clerks, share experiences, and return home refreshed and motivated.
